It was an interesting day (to go right along with our interesting 6 months), but by 5pm, we were signing papers and handing over money. Thank goodness for the nice people working at Key Title who were willing to stay late for desperate people like us!
The sellers were at the settlement office before us, signing the paperwork. The husband came out to speak with our realtor, just to thank him for all his hard work with us to get this home, and to let our realtor know we are really getting a wonderful home, as well as neighborhood and town. And did I mention they not only left all the appliance instructional manuals, but also left the washer and dryer??!! I kept thinking the sellers would be bitter, not at us, but at the situation, when in reality they were just as happy today to have this situation behind them.
Once again, thank you to everyone for supporting us through this process. It has been a crazy experience, but we made it and couldn't have done it without our wonderful families and friends. Our door is open for any and all visitors, just give us a few weeks to unpack:)
